Report on the September Routine Hospital Sanitation Exercise![]()
The monthly routine hospital sanitation exercise for the month of September was successfully conducted on Friday, 26th September, 2025, commencing promptly at 8:00 a.m.![]()
The exercise encompassed both the internal and external environments of the hospital with the primary objective of promoting cleanliness, ensuring a safe and healthy environment and strengthening infection prevention and control measures within the facility.![]()
In attendance were the Medical Director, Director of Nursing Services, Head of Laboratory, Deputy Director of Finance and Accounts alongside other staff members who actively participated in the exercise.![]()
The activity was carried out smoothly and reflected the hospital’s collective commitment to upholding high standards of hygiene and environmental health for the overall benefit of patients, staff and visitors.
Report on the 2nd Annual General Congress of IMAN NOFIC Bauchi![]()
The Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria (IMAN), NOFIC Bauchi Chapter, held its 2nd Annual General Congress today, Wednesday, 24th September 2025, at the Rehabilitation Complex Hall of the Centre.![]()
The event was graced by the Medical Director, Dr. Halima Mukaddas, the Director of Administration, Mal. Aminu Nakaka Jibrin, the Special Adviser to the Medical Director on Governance and former Head of Administration, Mal. Dahiru Adamu Bello, the Director of Finance, Alh. Abubakar Lamido Alkali alongside other principal officers and staff of the Centre.![]()
The programme commenced with an opening prayer by Alarama Ibrahim Abdulhadi after which the Chairman of IMAN NOFIC Bauchi Chapter delivered his welcome address. He underscored the vital role of the Association in assisting the less privileged, supporting staff when necessary and providing religious guidance within the hospital community.![]()
As part of the activities to mark the congress, the Medical Director, Dr. Halima Mukaddas complemented the provision of writing materials by IMAN NOFIC Bauchi with a cash donation to orphans within Ningi community in recognition of the Association’s efforts.![]()

Report on Ningi Grassroots Visit to NOFIC Ningi, Bauchi State![]()
A courtesy visit was paid by the Ningi Grassroots Community-Based Organization (CBO) to the National Obstetric Fistula Centre (NOFIC), Ningi, Bauchi State on Tuesday, 23rd September, 2025. The meeting took place at the Medical Director’s Conference Room.![]()
The purpose of the visit was to seek collaboration and strengthen the existing relationship between NOFIC and the Ningi Grassroots with particular emphasis on receiving a comprehensive update on the Centre’s general services, especially clinical services.![]()
The meeting was chaired by the Director of Administration, Mal. Aminu Nakaka Jibrin. The DA who represented the Medical Director, Dr. Halima Mukaddas extended her sincere apology to the group for the inability of the MD to attend to the visitors in person due exigensis of work. However, speaking on her behalf remarked and underscored the importance of community collaboration in achieving the hospital’s mandate. He assured the visitors of the Centre’s readiness to sustain and strengthen the partnership, acknowledging the Ningi Grassroots CBO as a key community stakeholder. He further emphasized that their role would be duly recognized in the proposed establishment of the hospital’s League of Friends.![]()
In addition, The Director of Administration encouraged the organization to always approach the hospital for clarification on any issues of concern in order to be properly guided by facts rather than relying on rumors or misinformation that could tarnish the image of the institution.![]()
The visit also featured an interactive Question-and-Answer session, where both parties engaged constructively on issues of mutual interest aimed at promoting service delivery and community relations.

The National Obstetric Fistula Centre, Bauchi, on Wednesday, 17th September, 2025 hosted a presentation by its Visiting Consultant, Dr. Ibrahim Kabo on the topic “Overview of the Abstract / Manuscript Writing and Research Methodology.” The session held at the Rehabilitation Complex Hall aimed to build staff capacity in academic writing and research methods.![]()
The event commenced with an opening remark delivered by the Director of Clinical Services and Training / CMAC, who represented the Medical Director. In his address, he welcomed participants and underscored the importance of research and scholarly publications to the Centre’s mandate and expressed appreciation to Dr. Kabo for his continuous support in strengthening staff knowledge.![]()
Dr. Kabo’s presentation provided an insightful overview of the key elements of abstract and manuscript writing including structuring scientific papers, identifying appropriate journals and maintaining ethical standards in research and publication. He also emphasized the fundamentals of research methodology highlighting study design, data collection and analysis as critical aspects for producing high-quality scientific work.![]()
The session was interactive with staff actively engaging through questions and discussions thereby enhancing understanding of the subject matter.![]()
The Director of Administration, Mal. Aminu Nakaka Jibrin, delivered the closing remark. Stakeholder Engagement on Digitalization of Inventory of Essential Medicines![]()
The National Obstetric Fistula Centre (NOFIC), Bauchi was ably represented at the Stakeholder Engagement on the Digitalization of the Inventory of Essential Medicines held today, Thursday, 11th September 2025, at Reiz Intercontinental Hotel, Abuja.![]()
The Medical Director, Dr. Halima Mukaddas and the Head of Pharmacy, Pharm. Stephen Pampe participated in the session which brought together key health-sector stakeholders to discuss strategies for adopting digital solutions in the management of essential medicines.![]()
Their participation underscored NOFIC Bauchi’s commitment to strengthening supply-chain systems, ensuring transparency and improving the availability of essential medicines through innovative digital platforms.
Report on the One-Day Orientation Programme for Reposted Health Attendants.![]()
A one-day orientation programme was held on Wednesday, 10th September 2025, for the reposted Health Attendants of the Hospital at the Rehabilitation Complex Hall.![]()
The exercise was organized to acquaint and educate participants on the Civil Service Rules and Guidelines as well as to promote good work ethics. The programme was well attended by the redeployed Health Attendants.![]()

In his opening remarks, the Director of Administration welcomed the participants and advised them to be diligent, disciplined and committed in their new assignments. NOFIC Introduces Monthly Hospital Sanitation Day
The management of the National Obstetric Fistula Centre (NOFIC), Ningi, has officially introduced a Hospital Sanitation Day, to be observed on the last Friday of every month.![]()
The maiden edition of the exercise was flagged off today Friday, 25th July 2025 by the Medical Director of NOFIC alongside members of the management team. ![]()
The Director of Clinical Services and Training / CMAC, Director of Administration and other TMC members were present and actively participated in the flag-off ceremony.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Hakimin and Ciroman Ningi, Chairperson Water and Sanitation Ningi LGA, Lecturers and students of Environment Health Department Bill and Melinda Gates College of Health Technology Ningi among others.

The National Obstetric Fistula Center Ningi, Bauchi successfully concluded a three-day capacity-building training on the Performance Management System (PMS). The training aimed to enhance participants understanding and effective implementation of PMS within the Center to improve staff performance and overall service delivery in line with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP25).![]()
The training commenced on Tuesday, 22nd July and ended today Thursday, 24th July, 22025. In attendance were key management and senior staff including the Medical Director Dr. Halima Mukaddas, Director of Administration Aminu Nakaka Jibrin, Head of Nursing Services Rafiat Bolanle, Director of Clinical Services and Training / CMAC Dr. Ogbara E. O alongside Heads of Departments and Units.![]()
Over the course of the training, participants were taken through the fundamental principles and objectives of the Performance Management System. The sessions covered; The purpose and benefits of PMS in healthcare institutions, Steps for integrating PMS into daily administrative and clinical activities, Roles and responsibilities of departmental heads and supervisors in the PMS process and Common challenges and strategies for effective implementation![]()
Overall, the training reinforced the commitment of the National Obstetric Fistula Center, Bauchi, to institutionalize performance management as a tool for accountability, continuous improvement, and high-quality patient care.![]()
The program concluded with a practical demonstration on how to correctly complete and utilize the PMS forms. This hands-on session ensured that all participants gained practical skills necessary for applying the system effectively in their respective departments and units as the Medical Director Halima Mukaddas in her closing remark inaugurated all the Participants as PMS Champions.

The first day of the three-day Performance Management System (PMS) step-down training aimed to deepen participants understanding of PMS, equip them with tools to implement it effectively and promote a culture of continuous performance improvement.![]()
The Day started with a National Prayer, Federal Civil Service Anthem and a Welcome address by the Director of Administration Alh. Aminu Nakaka Jibrin who called on the Director of Clinical Services and Training / Chairman Medical Advisory Committee Dr. Ogbara E.O to declare the training Program open.![]()
Resource Persons were Aminu Nakaka Jibrin (Director of Adminstration) and Aliyu Musa Mukaddas of the Planning, Research and Statistics Unit. Key topics covered include; Introduction and Overview of the PMS, 2025 FMOHSW PMS Workbook and Formula for Employee Performance Management System.![]()

A Super Extended Top Management Committee (TMC) meeting was held on Thursday, 17th July, 2025 at the Rehabilitation Conference Hall. Key hospital officials in attendance included Dr. Ogbara Edward O. (Director of Clinical Services and Training / CMAC), the Director of Administration ( Alh. Aminu Nakaka Jibrin), Head of Nursing Services and all Head of Departments / Units.
The meeting focused on key administrative and structural reforms aimed at improving organizational efficiency. Key discussion included:
Hospital Reforms: Updates were given on the restructuring of the hospital organizational structure, including propose changes to the Centre's organogram and Directorate.
Administrative Efficiency: Redundant roles, particularly within the administrative Department were addressed with plans to streamline schedules and eliminate inefficiencies.
Attendance Management: A manual attendance system will be introduced to complements the ongoing Biometrics .
Ethical Leadership: The Director of Administration urge all Department and Unit heads to maintain high standard of integrity, emphasizing that their leadership roles come with the trust and confidence of the hospitals management.
The meeting concluded with an announcement of the upcoming Rescheduled Three (3) days Performance Management System Step-down training scheduled for Tuesday 22nd to Thursday 24th July, 2025 at 10:00am daily in the Rehabilitation Conference Hall.
HOSPITAL TOUR WITH THE NEW DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION - The Medical Director NOFIC Bauchi Dr. Halima Mukaddas led the TMC on a tour accompanied by the New Director of Administration Aminu Nakaka Jibrin.![]()
During the visit, they toured the hospital offices introducing the new Director of Administration to the staff. This gesture fostered a sense of unity and facilitated a smooth transition.
The Medical Director’s presence underscored the importance of collaboration and effective leadership in delivering quality healthcare services (NOFIC Ningi, a National reference centre of excellence for Fistula treatment and other ailments.
On his Part, the Director of Administration interacted with the Leadership and members of staff of each Unit solicitated for their cooperation in moving the centre forward.![]()
He underscores the need to uphold high standard of discipline, dedication to duties, proper dressing and above all attendance and punctuality in accordance with the provision of Public Service Rules (PSR) and other extent circulars. In addition, he urges Head of Department / Unit to embrace the PMS which has come to stay and form the basis of staff appraisals. A step-down training will be organized next week to strengthen the capacity of the Head of Department / Unit on the Performance Management System (PMS).![]()
Finally, the Director of Administration thanked the Medical Director and members of the TMCs for sphering their time and crowded schedules of duties to take him around the hospital. He appreciated the cordial relationship existing between the Management and Staff and promised to consolidate and improve upon it.
REPORT ON THE ASSUMPTION OF DUTY OF ALHAJI AMINU NAKAKA JIBRIN AS THE NEWLY APPOINTED DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION, NATIONAL OBSTETRIC FISTULA CENTER (NOFIC) NINGI, BAUCHI STATE![]()
Today Wednesday 18th June, 2025, the National Obstetric Fistula Center (NOFIC) Ningi, Bauchi State recorded a significant milestone as Alhaji Aminu Nakaka Jibrin officially assumed duty as the newly appointed Director of Administration of the institution.![]()
The assumption event was marked with dignity and honour, as Alh. Aminu Nakaka Jibrin was accompanied to the Center by the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Azare (FUHSTHA), Dr. Dauda Abubakar Katagun alongside the hospital's entire management team, colleagues, associates, and members of his family. This show of support reflected the high regard in which he is held in his former place of assignment and among peers in the healthcare administration sector.![]()
Upon arrival at the Center, the incoming Director was warmly received by the Medical Director of NOFIC Ningi, Dr. Halima Mukaddas who led the entire management team and staff to welcome their new administrative leader. The reception was filled with goodwill, institutional pride and a renewed sense of commitment to administrative continuity and operational excellence.![]()
One of the highlights of the event was the official handover ceremony conducted by the former Head of Administration, Alhaji Dahiru Adamu Bello who retired recently after a meritorious and impactful public service career. In a symbolic and respectful gesture, Alhaji Bello transferred official documents and responsibilities to his successor while expressing his confidence in Alhaji Nakaka’s competence, leadership acumen and dedication to public service.![]()
In his farewell address, Alhaji Dahiru Adamu Bello expressed his appreciation to the Medical Director and staff of NOFIC Ningi for their support during his years of service. He urged all staff to extend similar cooperation and loyalty to the new Director of Administration. It is worthy of note that Alhaji Bello has been appointed as Special Adviser on Governance to the Medical Director, a role that will enable him to continue contributing his vast knowledge and institutional memory to the Center’s progress.![]()
In her welcome remarks, Dr. Halima Mukaddas the Medical Director, congratulated Alhaji Aminu Nakaka Jibrin on his appointment and assured him of the center’s full cooperation and commitment to work in harmony for the growth and smooth functioning of the Center. She also acknowledged the presence of the CMD of FUHSTHA and his team, appreciating their solidarity and support.![]()
In his inaugural speech, Alhaji Aminu Nakaka Jibrin thanked the Federal Government and the Federal Ministry of Health for the confidence reposed in him. He also expressed deep gratitude to the CMD and management of FUHSTHA for their presence and to his family for their unwavering support. He pledged to uphold the values and vision of NOFIC Ningi and to work tirelessly with the team to build on the achievements of his predecessor and to further strengthen the administrative framework of the Center.![]()

Today, Tuesday, 3rd June 2025, the Ningi Emirate Orphans and Underprivileged Support Initiative paid a courtesy visit to the National Obstetric Fistula Center in Ningi, Bauchi State. The group donated essential relief materials, such as detergents, blankets, perfumes, and other personal care items, to support fistula patients ahead of the Eid-ul-Adha celebration on Friday, 6th June 2025. They were warmly received by the Medical Director, Dr. Halima Mukaddas (Alkybban Dass), and her team. The visit aimed to uplift and support patients facing both medical and social challenges, highlighting the Initiative's commitment to community welfare and inclusion during festive periods.

Today April 8, 2025, the National Obstetric Fistula Centre (NOFIC), Bauchi, officially launched the newly introduced Federal Government healthcare initiative on Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care (CEmOC). The launch event featured hospital presentations and marked a significant step toward improving maternal healthcare services in the region.
Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NOFIC Bauchi, the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), and United Healthcare International Limited on NHIA’s Financing Access to Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care (CEmOC) today, Tuesday, 4th March 2025, at the office of the Medical Director, NOFIC Ningi, Bauchi State.
